Constance Cullman, President

Constance Cullman was named President of Farm Foundation in June 2016.  She succeeds Neil Conklin, who retired after serving as President since 2008. Prior to joining Farm Foundation, Cullman was U.S. Government Affairs Leader with Dow AgroSciences. She previously worked at the Corn Refiners Association, Foreign Agricultural Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Ohio Farm Bureau Federation, and the Ohio State University College of Food, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. Cullman is a graduate of Ohio State, earning her bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics, and a master’s degree in agricultural economics with an emphasis on international trade and agricultural policy.

Megan Provost, Vice President Policy & Programs

Megan Provost joined the Foundation staff in October 2017.  She previously served as U.S. Government Affairs Manager for Dow AgroSciences, an Agricultural Division of Dow-DuPont, working with state and federal legislators, regulators, and food chain allies. Prior to joining Dow AgroSciences, Provost served as a legislative assistant for Sen. Richard Lugar, (R-Ind.); served as special assistant to the administrator at USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service; and was an economist at the American Farm Bureau Association. Provost is a graduate of Oklahoma State University, earning a bachelor’s of science degree in agribusiness, and a master’s degree in agricultural economics. She holds a juris doctor degree from George Washington University Law School.

Tim Brennan, Vice President of External Affairs

Tim Brennan joined the Farm Foundation staff  in May 2013 as Director of Development. Brennan has 20 years of experience as a fundraiser, with the bulk of his career in higher education fundraising. He formerly served as the Associate Director of Alumni Relations for the University of Chicago’s Graduate School of Business, now the Booth School of Business. He served as the Director of Alumni Relations and Marketing for Northwestern University’s School of Law, before returning to the University of Chicago as Executive Director of the Chicago Society and Director of Development at the Law School. Brennan later became the Senior Director of Alumni and Constituent Relations at the University. Most recently, he has been working on several consulting projects, including capital campaign planning and interim executive leadership with Chicago and international nonprofits. He earned a bachelor of arts degree at Westminster College, New Wilmington, PA.

Mary Thompson, Vice President, Communications

Mary Thompson joined the Farm Foundation staff in July 2002. Prior to that she was on the staff of Farm Journal, where she was business editor for 11 years. She has 18 years of journalism experience with local and regional newspapers and agricultural publications. Thompson earned a bachelor of science degree in journalism at Iowa State University, and has done graduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania. Her professional work has received regional and national recognition.

David Shamsi, Senior Finance Manager

David Shamsi joined the Farm Foundation staff in April 2015 as Finance and Project Manager. A Certified Public Accountant, Shamsi previously served as Controller of  Associated Talmud Torahs of Chicago, an umbrella organization serving 10 private schools. He also completed an internship at Parente Randolph of Philadelphia, PA, a forensic accounting firm. Shamsi earned his bachelor's degree at Drexel University, and did graduate studies at the Rabbinical Academy, Woodmere, NY, and Jerusalem, Israel.

Michelle Jensen
, Operations Manager

Michelle Jensen is Operations Manager at Farm Foundation, with responsibility for day-to-day operational oversight of essential business needs and functions. Prior to joining Farm Foundation in July 2017, Jensen was Assistant Director - Corporate and Community Partnerships at Special Olympics Illinois. She previously worked with the Marion Street Cheese Market in Oak Park, IL, the Oak Park Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, and the Ernest Hemingway Foundation of Oak Park. She is a graduate of Loyola University of Chicago.

Morgan Craven, Events Manager

Before joining the Farm Foundation team in the fall of 2015, Morgan served as the Conference and Events Manager at Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights, IL.  Morgan also worked as a premium hospitality game day staff member for the Chicago Bears.  Morgan earned a BA from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, in recreation, sports leadership and tourism management.
